Unique collection, written largely by people who knew John Stott well. Rich insights and perspectives. Much material does not appear elsewhere.

John Stott was a colossus, and named in TIME magazine (April 2005) as one of the hundred most influential people in the world. He commanded more column inches in the obituary pages of mainstream media than a serving cabinet minister, and he has a substantial entry in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. Eighteen contributors, chosen from around the world, write on aspects of his life and ministry.

This is a unique and pithy collection. It is charming, and a delight to read. 27,000 words. The book opens with an overview, and a Timeline for quick reference. John Stott was a leading amateur ornithologist, personally photographing some 2,500 bird species. The book includes his prize photograph - a snowy owl, which it took him 25 years to track down.
