The Authority of the Bible is a classic, which has become less-well known in the past 40 years. It first appeared as an address given to North American students at the Urbana Missions Convention in 1974. John Stott specially asked the present owner of Dictum, shortly before he died, if she could make it more widely available again. This is the first opportunity to do that.
If you want a short, well-argued read on why the Bible is authoritative, then this is for you. It looks at Jesus’ use of the Old Testament, and at the New Testament canon. We have teamed it with Sinclair Ferguson’s short piece on Joy in the Bible, and the McCheyne Reading Plan, which Stott used for 50 years.
Includes questions for reflection which could be used in a fellowship group or adult Sunday School.
