1 & 2 Timothy For You

Until now, I have found the "....For You" series excellent: practical, thought-provoking, challenging and not too bogged down theologically. With this one, however, the style of writing is turgid, confused and the author clearly reveals a dislike of the ESV translation, since that is the only translation whose shortcomings he highlights. If you are looking for a good treatment of 1&2 Timothy I would have no hesitation in recommending John Stott's offerings in the Bible Speaks Today series.
