Bible teacher and pastor Jeremy Meeks guides readers through this Old Testament minor prophet book. "Wrestling with Amos is worth it. My hope is that by the time we have travelled together through this small, strange, and supremely interesting book of the Bible, you would be more enthralled by what we have in Jesus and more committed to living as his disciple."

Matthias Bible Guides are what you turn to before the commentaries: in-depth enough to serve as a guide for pastors preparing to preach through books of the Bible, accessible enough for the enthusiastic lay reader or Bible study leader.

Amos Matthias Bible Guide

This book was excellent. This was a 3 hour read for me, so not a huge time investment but in terms of content it was incredibly helpful. The chapters are short and digestible, and by the end of it (along with having read through Amos) I felt like I really understood the key themes, the flow and structure, and would feel confident to create bible studies from this and expect it wouldn’t take anywhere near as long as it would normally take me. It also has quite a few questions you could pull directly from it and use in your bible studies, but you’d still need to do tweak the material to fit how you divided your studies and the direction of your questions etc. If I was preparing a talk I don’t think it would be the only resource I used, but it would be a great first point of contact in terms of supplemental resources.
