“What is everyone’s wrong about dragons? What if dragons can be ... trained?”

Farm-boy Cairn can hardly believe it when he is chosen to train as a rider for the Star-King Elior.

Far from home in the mountains, where dragons lurk and war threatens, Cairn strives to become a great rider of Callenlas. Does he have what it takes after all? And what is his friend Arunae hiding?

The First Skyrider

Amazing Christian fantasy, I love these series so much, the book challenged pride and debated whether your own moral code should go against the law. I’ve read it a few times now, would 100% recommend. (Steffi, 13)

An exciting read!

I’d definitely recommend this book to a friend! It is fast moving and tense with some funny moments. My favourite character is Kit - he’s a good friend & funny! Reuben age 8

You won't be able to put this book down!

‘The First Skyrider’ is a great book about a boy called Cairn who tames a dragon. I love the part where Cairn rides Rhaegar the dragon for the first time. I couldn’t put this book down! (Reuben, age 10)

Great book about trust, morals and the law - great read!

I enjoyed the first sky rider as it challenged my beliefs on law and forced me to debate whether I’m willing to follow my moral code if it’s illegal and whether said law of actually justified. It’s a great book about trust and trying to find a middle way between society and your own moral code. Highly recommend! Elizabeth (age 12)

Best Christian fantasy novel

Cairn's adventures were captivating. I was on the edge of my seat as I read this book and as with the Dark Star it had a very comforting ending.

Incredible

It's the kind of book I would have devoured when I was younger - beautiful writing, enthralling story, dragons, with Christ-focused messaging. I'll be giving it to every teenager I know!

Fun and interesting

I loved reading this story- it was brilliant that Cairn learnt to tame a dragon and that they became friends. I read the book in 3 days, I was really interested in it and could imagine it well in my head. Esaïe, 11
