Profound and beautiful

We're now used to excellent toddler books with delightful illustrations - and these are as good as any I've seen. But managing to capture the beauty of the gospel of Jesus with such depth yet so naturally for any toddler and family is a delightful first for me. Forming alphabet into chronicle, Sarah has managed for the youngest children what CSLewis did so powerfully for their older siblings.

Lovely bedtime book

This is a beautiful book, and perfect for reading one or two pages at bedtime and discussing them with our kids. The book does a fantastic job of sticking to the gospel chronology and fitting it to the alphabet in a way that I was surprised was possible. The pictures are lovely and manage to be authentic to the stories while avoiding gospel illustration clichés.

A beautiful child friendly gospel summary.

A beautiful, child friendly summary of the gospel story. Wonderful illustrations and engaging and carefully chosen words on every page. My 3&6 year olds enjoyed it thoroughly and we're looking forward to reading it many more times.

This book is brilliant!

I love the way it walks letter by letter chronologically through the life of Jesus, using simple familiar words like Angel, Friends, Night, Tomb and Wind to open up for little ones different moments in the gospel story. The text for each section is brief, clear and faithful, written with a well-chosen vocabulary for young listeners. Each letter is accompanied by bright and engaging full-page illustrations and a helpful Bible reference for reading more. The warm voice of the narrator draws us in to want to know Jesus better and I really appreciated how the book drew to close with the word You, inviting the reader to trust in Jesus for themselves. I am so excited to have this resource to recommend to parents, grandparents and godparents – little ones will love having it read to them over and over, as they get to know the living Lord Jesus it introduces them to!
