Beyond Beans on Toast

Going to university for the first time is daunting for students. If parents and church youth leaders want to do something to help, then giving them this book is great way to start. There are some useful recipes with photographic instructions as students face cooking for themselves. These include chilli, mushroom pasta, and cakes in a cup. Having said that, I wouldn’t call profiteroles entry level cooking! There are useful articles on aspects of student life such as budgeting, and things to bring that you might not have thought of, e.g. a toastie maker. What makes the book stand out are the testimonies from students, including an international student, about how Jesus has changed them at university. One for any new or current student.
