Nancy Guthrie

Nancy Guthrie teaches the Bible at her home church, Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Franklin, Tennessee, as well as at conferences around the country and internationally, including her Biblical Theology Workshop for Women. She is the author of numerous books and the host of the Help Me Teach the Bible podcast with the Gospel Coalition. She and her husband founded Respite Retreats for couples who have faced the death of a child and are cohosts of the GriefShare video series.

The True King

This book takes us through the grand story of the Bible and tells each story with a focus on the theme of God being a King. I love that! It is really delightful to follow along: “The Bible begins by telling us that God is the Great King over his kingdom. His kingdom is the heavens and earth that he created from nothing.” Each page is rich in language and deep in theology yet not challenging for children to comprehend. Also, the illustrations are wonderful!
