The book of Titus establishes a biblical precedent for older women to teach younger women the importance of gospel living.

Writing as a Christian 'grandmother’ to a rising generation of parents, Ann Benton shows the value of creating a gospel culture at home so that children grow up experiencing true Christian living and learning to love and honour God.

Based on years of experience and wisdom, The Fruitful Home is a book for parents who want to allow their faith to impact the routines of everyday family life.

What others are saying about The Fruitful Home:

"This is an endearing and helpful book, full of wisdom and insight for Christian parents seeking to make their home a place of love and learning that will bring blessing and delight to their children. The Lord invented families and here is helpful Gospel centred advice to make our families function better and bring glory to Him. It will make you think, and pray!" Wallace & Lindsay Benn, Speakers who are parents and now grandparents, who have spent over 40 years in ministry together in different situations

"In her inimitable style Ann writes with both beautiful clarity and refreshing, godly challenge. This has been a wonderful spur as we continue to strive to root our family life in the rich soil of the gospel." David & Sarah Dargue have three small children and are members of Christ Church Newcastle

"Love, grace, forgiveness, security, joy . . . how to set about “building” such a home? Our culture of hyper-individualism promotes a relentless quest for personal fulfillment. This militates against the formation of households where mutual service draws on and reflects the unfailing love of God. This book offers a refreshing and compelling guide to life in a home where Jesus is Lord. It is firmly grounded in Scripture and reflects the wisdom gained from many years of experience." Dr. Sharon James, Social Policy Analyst, The Christian Institute

"In a day where child-led “parenting” is gaining traction, even among Christians, Ann Benton has produced a balanced, biblical and at times humourous corrective which will instill confidence in God's wisdom and design for parenting and fruitful family life." Wes & Karen Johnston are privileged to serve the church family at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Leeds

"In The Fruitful Home, Ann Benton appeals to Psalm 128 as the inspiring basis for raising children in our confused culture. In her thoroughly Biblical and eminently practical way (and with a good dash of English wit), she discusses the foundations on which our homes should be built along with the Gospel-focused furnishings with which to fill them. Parents (and grandparents) will find much encouragement as they seek to honor the Lord in their parenting. I highly commend this winsome, wise, and practical book!" Jodi Ware, Southern Seminary faculty wife, member of Seminary Wives Institute faculty

The Fruitful Home

I read this book shortly after the birth of our first child and will certainly be dipping in and out of it for years to come. It was really helpful as we start thinking about our family traditions and how we help our little one to learn about God through more than a Bible story at bedtime!

The Fruitful Home

My husband and I read this book together every evening, and found it to be thought provoking, encouraging and helpful. As we prepare for our baby to arrive we found the practical advice on how to create a home full of love and a welcoming one for others, to be particular relevant. Reading this book aloud we did find there to be a lot of big words, some of which we’d never heard used in sentences before! Having said that it was worth pushing through the mouthfuls of hard to say sentences to see the pearls of wisdom Ann shares. This is a practical, inspired guide to sharing your home and creating a God honouring atmosphere within it. I recommend this book to anyone, young or old, but especially to those who are getting married or are having/already have children. It’s never too late to create a fruitful home!

The Fruitful Home

I am not a parent, God willing one day I will be, but this book has been really helpful for me to think about the culture of my home now. I want people who visit my home to find a subculture that glorifies God, that revolves around Him and that lifts their eyes to the wonders of the good news of Jesus. This book is written primarily for parents, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend you buy it!
