The Lost Sheep

A beautiful introduction to the story of the lost sheep for little children. I have read it with my 3 year old granddaughter several times and she loves it. She tries to read it as we get into the rhythm of the verses. The rhymes help her to remember the story and we do simple dramatic reading with actions and loud, soft, slow, quick voices too. The illustrations are delightful in their simplicity whilst conveying the story visually which lead her to retell it as she looks at the pictures and asks questions. A wonderful book that conveys Gospel truth in an age appropriate way and enjoyable manner as the child engages with different learning styles that arise from it. Simple Bible truth presented in a creative, accessible book.

This story retells the story of a shepherd that hunts high and low for his lost sheep. It’s rhyming and lovely to read to young children. It has an application and bible verse at the end, as well as the original parable. It’s really simple with lovely illustrations.
