Michael Reeves is an author, speaker, and President and Professor of Theology at Union School of Theology in Oxford, England. He was former Head of Theology for UCCF and associate minister at All Souls Church, Langham Place, London. He is currently a church minister in Oxford, where he lives with his wife and children.

Why the Trinity should move us to love God more.

Michael Reeves shows how the Trinity is not a dry doctrine, but means that God is fundamentally relational. The statement "God is love" only makes sense because of the Trinity. The three persons of the Trinity have loved each other from eternity, and this love has overflowed through creation and redemption. The Father loves his Son and all who belong to him. The Son loves to reveal the Father's love to his people. And God's love is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Read this book and have your heart warmed by the fundamental goodness of God.

The Good God is a wonderful read. Reading it feels like you’re eating candy floss – sweet, fun, easy. But in fact you’re getting a nourishing, nutritious meal of real substance. This book will enlarge your view of God and increase love for God. You’ll be blown away by the lavish love between the Father, Son and the Spirit that overflows to the world. What a great book! When I tell people I'm reading a book on the doctrine of the Trinity they give me a funny look as if to say 'rather you than me'. But honestly this is a fabulous book about the sheer goodness of God and his abundant, joyful love - love that starts between Father, Son and Spirit and overflows to us and all creation. It is a delightful book, that not only clarifies your thinking about the nature of the God we worship and how he is utterly different to all other gods, but also stirs the heart to worship. A must read.
