Simple but Encouraging Read
I think this book is best suited for seekers, new Christians, or those early in their walk of faith. Because it’s so short, it doesn’t go very deep, though that’s understandable given its length.
I’m not sure the subtitle fully reflects the book’s main focus, but the central message about the man on the middle cross is clear and meaningful. What I appreciated most was Begg’s illustrative style when explaining familiar biblical passages — he presented them in a way that made them feel fresh and more alive to me.

Quick read that centres on Jesus
Alistair Begg vividly retells three Bible stories (woman at the well John 4; the healing of the paralysed man Mark 2; and the thief on the cross Luke 23) putting Jesus at the centre. The original text is placed after the retelling so that people can explore and there are QR code links to the ESV dramatised readings on YouTube. At 38 pages it is a great book to give away.

Powerful, readable and accessible. A fantastic giveaway.
This is an excellent evangelistic resource! I've given it to seekers and non-Christians from very varied backgrounds, and I now keep one in my bag so I've got one ready for whoever I'm brave enough to give one to! It's small enough to not be overwhelming, and yet it shares the gospel in a relatable, accessible and powerful way. I also love how it points the reader helpful resources at the end if they want to find out more.

Great for Churches
We're encouraging our people to take a book in order to give it away to a family member, friend, co-worker, or someone they encounter daily. This isn't a book for them to read and sit on a shelf; it's for them to connect with others and help others connect with Jesus.

Brilliant
This book is brilliant - readable, relatable and, above all, points people clearly to Jesus! Unlike many 'giveaway books,' it's also well suited to the working class context in which I live and serve.

A Great Evangelistic Giveaway!
This is a beautifully simple, clear, compelling gospel message that I'd confidently give away to anyone, wherever they are in their spiritual journey. It is going to be helpful to the non–Christian in understanding the simple gospel message and to the Christian in growing in their ability to communicate it clearly. A great little book.

'The Man on the Middle Cross Said I Could Come'
An incredible reminder to Christian's to know that we are saved and a brilliant book for giving to those who don't know Jesus. Begg takes three Bible stories, looking at what each one tells us about Jesus. I would highly recommend, especially for anyone one looking for a book to give away.

Really helpful tool
This is ideal to give away to friends that have indicated some interest in Jesus. The gospel is really clear throughout and I felt it had a really nice balance of challenging the reader as well as coming alongside them like a gentle friend. Fantastic!

A short but powerful book
A perfect book to give to those who don't yet believe. The most striking aspect is that Jesus, whilst on the cross, says to the man next to him to "Come" It doesn't matter what denomination you are, whether you have been baptised but to just come. Jesus will accept you as you are! A book that can change lives

Excellent and 40 minutes to read
It is both simple and profound. Good for people on an Alpha Course and seasoned Christians. Excellent to share with curious friends.
