Is it God’s love that fuels your pursuit of godliness? You’d like to say yes, but often you go through your days without a conscious awareness or acknowledgement of his love for you. You might even be so focused on living the Christian life that you’ve accidentally left Jesus behind.

Counsellor and author Elyse Fitzpatrick invites you to stop and consider how God’s love is transformative for your identity and life. You will…

  • Receive encouragement as you deeply consider God’s love for you
  • Learn to recognise how the love of God transforms day-to-day life
  • Gain a renewed sense of identity to fuel your daily walk with Christ

Simple, practical exercises at the end of each chapter help you walk in step with the Spirit as you pursue a life transformed by love.

This revised, refreshed version of one of Elyse Fitzpatrick's most beloved books unforgettably celebrates the truth of God’s transforming love.

Because He Loves Me

I thank God that he used this book to draw me back to Himself. I ‘hadn’t felt his absence because [I was] so preoccupied with living for him’. (p18). I was ‘hiding in the shadows, focusing on performance, fearing his wrath’ (p24). Fitzpatrick reminds us ‘The purpose of our life is to reveal to others how wonderful [Jesus] is and to glorify and enjoy him eternally’ (p56). This means that we don’t have to prove ourselves or impress others and we certainly do not have to appease God with our efforts. Jesus’ blood has already done this. I would heartily recommend this encouraging and challenging read to anyone who suffers from ‘performancism’.
