Refreshing to Hear Alongside Study and Memorisation

Having recently studied and memorised portions of James in the ESV, it was especially refreshing to listen through this audiobook in the KJV and notice some of the differences in wording and rhythm. Hearing familiar passages in another translation helped slow me down and think more carefully about the text rather than simply reading what I already expected to see. The narration was clear and easy to follow, making James particularly suited to audio format given how direct, practical, and searching the letter is. Listening straight through also helped highlight the flow and pastoral weight of the epistle in a way that can sometimes be missed when reading in smaller sections. A simple but edifying resource that worked especially well alongside personal Bible study and Scripture memory.
