Valuable Content, but Difficult to Read

This is not a book I would have chosen to read on my own, as I encountered it through a seminary course where it was used as a textbook. While the content itself is solid, the writing style makes it very difficult to engage with. At times, sentences stretch on for an entire paragraph, weighed down by unnecessary wording. Because of this, the book feels overly dense and could likely be much shorter if the author were more concise. I also found parts of it hard to understand, which made it challenging to fully absorb the material. It’s clear the author has valuable insights, but the way they are expressed may be difficult for many readers—especially those without a theological background. Overall, while the material is meaningful, the lack of clarity and readability made this a frustrating read for me.
