To have a clearer vision of God should be the Christian’s supreme calling, because when we know Him we reflect Him. To love and serve the Creator in righteousness, men and women need something more than an awareness of His existence through general revelation. We also need to know who and what He is, where He can be found, and how He may be approached; He reveals this in His Word. Brian A. Russell here guides us through what the Bible says about the attributes of God.

This is the God you should know.

In this work Brian Russell, masterfully expounds and applies both the communicable and incommunicable attribute of our God. As usual Brian writes with one eye on the text, and the other seeking to apply God’s word to the life of the believer. It has to be said that the Attributes of God is not the most popular or even well-discussed aspects of our God, and we are impoverished by doing so, but this book seeks to correct that perspective. Pastor Russell in his introduction reveals why we should understand the attributes of our God and he writes: ‘Everything owes its beginning to God, but He Himself has no beginning. He is the God who is, who always has been and always will be. All things depend on Him for their existence, but His own existence does not depend on anything or anyone other than Himself.’ Now is that not a God which is worth knowing better? Then, get this book, you will not be disappointed.
