The world today claims that your identity is entirely defined by you. As a parent raising children in this world, how do we teach children the gospel, and how it impacts gender identity? This book of letters written to the author’s children follows the overarching story line of the Bible, making it clear that transgenderism is a symptom of a far deeper problem that only Jesus can heal. Written with biblical clarity, sensitivity, and an awareness that people affected by these issues are people who need Jesus, just like everyone else, this book will help parents who are looking for guidance on how to explain gender issues to their children.

A Sensitive Approach to a Complex Topic

Gender dysphoria and uncertainty concerning personal identity are huge issues in contempory society, particularlty amongst teenagers and young adults. In this book, David Martin approaches the topic in a unique fashion, addressing his thoughts to each of his children in a series of short letters. Drawing from biblical truths he urges his children to show compassion and understanding to others while considering the possible reasons why some people may feel that they are in the 'wrong' body. Amongst the author's conclusions, is the realisation that our identities can be found primarily in our relationship to God and our place in his kingdom. This book may be of particular interest to parents and teenagers finding themselves faced with this issue. It includes suggestions for directing prayer and discussions at the end of each chapter.
