Simple Bible overview

This is a beautifully illustrated, simply written and clear overview of the storyline of the Bible, starting with creation, the fall, a (very!) quick look at the prophets, then Jesus' birth, miracles, death & resurrection. I bought these in bulk (with a great discount, thank you), to give out to our toddler group families at our harvest service. It links really well with our theme of creation. My only slight hesitation is the use of words such as "evil", "devil", "demonised". I don't personally have a problem with them and it is Biblically accurate, but (rightly or wrongly), I wouldn't normally give out a book to non-Christian families with very little ones that touch on this side of things quite so explicitly. Having said that, we are still going to give it out, trusting in God's goodness!

This is a commonly chosen bedtime story for my 1 year old which we both love. Simple language to share big truths and a good reminder for grown ups too of the power of God’s word. I can see as she grows that it will be great for having discussions around the story.

My son and I read this book together. It's well illustrated and very simply draws the connection between how things are meant to be - what God says happens, and our sin as our not doing what God says. Simple, clear, helpfully repetitive and engaging.
