The Bible makes big claims for itself – that it contains God’s trustworthy revelation of himself to a world in desperate need of the truth. But how does this claim stack up?

Is the Bible true? In this short, readable book, Barry Cooper explores the question with insight, wit and integrity.

This short, readable book explains clearly and simply what Christians believe about the Bible and how God speaks today.

Can I Really Trust the Bible?

I've been looking for a popular level book, that I could give to someone at church or in a youth group about the Bible. I'd heard loads of good things about Kevin DeYoung's 'Taking God at His Word', and it has a lot of quality endorsements. But when I read it I was sorely disappointed. It's boring. It says good and true things about the Bible, but it seems to essentially be some re-written sermons. 'Can I Trust the Bible' is the book I wish 'Taking God at His Word' was. It's short. It's immediately engaging. It's fun. And in 72 pages it covers all sorts of ground from: "What does Jesus say about the Old Testament?" to circular reasoning & the Bible to how the Bible compares to the Qu'ran to how we're to experience the Bible. This will be my go-to book for helping people to understand the Bible. Top stuff.
