Spurgeon was the minister of the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London during the Victorian era. The author of numerous books, his sermons were reprinted and sold in tens of millions. Thousands gathered to hear him preach, but he was not just an eloquent man, he was a man driven to taking the gospel to the people with the utmost urgency.
