I was given a copy of this some 5 years ago at the Christian Resources Exhibition. Otherwise, I probably would not have bought it because of the Victorian language. Out of respect for C H Spurgeon I began to read it and have seldom missed a day since. Despite the old language, Spurgeon’s thoughts have blessed me, and a number of friends and family, more than I could ever have realised. Amazingly, what I read is frequently just what I needed on that day – including today!
