God’s Smuggler (60th Anniversary Edition)

If I could only have one book apart from the Bible, it would be this one. SUCH a thrill to read about the things that God does in, for and through those who are willing to be daring for Him. I love the sheer audacity of Brother Andrew and those he worked with, but feel like I am living way too comfortably in God's service by comparison. From the people who supported and inspired him in his early walk with the Lord, to those behind the Iron Curtain ready to receive the Bibles Brother Andrew was supplying, this book reminds me that GOD IS IN CONTROL and that God WILL provide and that God IS building His kingdom.

God’s Smuggler (60th Anniversary Edition)

I first read this as a 10 year old. It widened my gaze of the church and the plight of my brothers and sisters in Christ around the world in a way I could not have imagined. Brother Andrew's selfless and prayerfully dependent 'excursions' are an amazing testament to God's awesome power and provision, His kindness and His love. It's a great story to see God as King even behind the Iron Curtain... This book inspired me to get involved with Open Doors, and 15 yrs on, it's still a book I want to get as many people to read as I can!
